Part list:
* 50mm alligator clip. Flatten the end with pliers.
* 3x8mm self taping screw. You can try to use standard M3 or 1/8 in. screw, but probably will have to drill hole a bit bigger.
* magnetic base dial indicator holder (to be found on eBay)
* a piece of steel for a base - 80x80mm L bracket from hardware store works well. Holder is much more stable with it.
* 4x silicone self adhesive feet glued under the steel base - works really well on bench to prevent sliding
