When you look for quality and affordability, it's extremely difficult to get the best of both worlds. The Elegoo Mars is that. Out of the box, setup takes minutes. Zeroing in your machine, making sure exposure works right, and that the bed is level is quick and easy. The community is also amazing. Aftermarket parts are available if you want to upgrade your Z axis, and 4K screens are coming to make their prints even better. Many designers have made heat enclosures, charcoal filter additions, and more for your Mars so you can make it even better if you so choose.
Every resin is different. Take your time to dial in settings with a few so you have options, and you'll have a blast. Need help? Reddit, facebook, and many of the patreons out there that deal in 3D modeling will gladly help you.
Elegoo Mars is an outstanding SLA printer that comes with everything out-of-the-box. Their included software CHITUBOX runs fast, and is easy to set up and use. Print quality is amazing; no visible layer lines and very competitively priced resins.
Probably the best entry-level SLA printer. If you are willing to work with toxic liquids and fumes and have a well-ventilated area to do so, this will be the printer for you. Especially beneficial to jewelry designers, but not for end-use objects. It works with the Photon slicer as well, and has a slightly larger build volume than the Photon printer. The device is well-built and easy to operate and maintain, but the cleanup work after each print run is far more intensive compared to FDM printing.
The Elegoo Mars is a wonderful 3D Printer for the price, you cant get any better. It is a reliable machine and has never failed me, other than user error! I recommend this machine to anyone who is interested in 3d printing. This printer has amazing quality with its small detailed prints. for me it is a 5/5 stars.
